The Winter 2024 Anime Season is Almost Half Over?!

I used to work in retail like many others. In fact, I spent most of my adult life working in retail. We always had a time of the year that was our busiest, and we all knew what it was from the moment we were hired. The time of the year that the rest of the year was building up to. All of the preparations, hiring, training, and inventory-ing were dedicated to preparing ourselves and our store for that brief window of time where it all mattered so much more. That time was the holiday season. The fourth quarter, Christmas time, and Black Friday were the days that either made all the effort worth it, or proved that we were unprepared.
Why am I telling you all this? Well, now, every season is the holiday season for us. Every anime season, that is. The start of a new anime season means watching all of the episodes of the new shows, recording our first impressions, recording our B-roll and clips we want to use, and editing! We start planning out our schedule, which shows we will watch when and when we want to release them. Every night is dedicated to anime and every day, to editing.
We also have other channels. Our first channel, King’s Entertainment Reviews, doesn’t stop needing board game, card game, and TCG content just because the new anime season started, no no. We have to work around the anime schedule to make sure we can keep all the channels humming. Taste test videos need to be planned, the food purchased, and the arrangements made to have all the people present to participate. Elaine still needs to make sure her cute little Kohais have the wonderful lessons they come to expect every week. We also need not forget that we still have lives, friends, family, work obligations, and school to keep up with.
This is the life of a content creator. Oh, don’t worry! I’m not complaining; I wouldn’t have it any other way. Once the season starts, we get to expose ourselves to new shows and see which we like the best! We get to laugh at the ridiculous ones and roll our eyes at the ones that are essentially a hodge-podge of well-worn-out tropes. Sometimes, we find gems, and sometimes, we find nothing at all, but either way, we will always let you know what we feel about what we find. That’s really the thing that makes it all worthwhile, your comments, your likes, and your feedback. We love making this content for all of you who watch it. We plan on doing this for a long time moving forward, and anime season after anime season will be our fourth quarter, our Black Friday, and our Christmas.

Don’t forget: You’re all Kings, Queens, and Inbetweens, and we are just the entertainment.
